I love all the negative space. It makes for an elegant and clean design.

The mirror effect, where you can see the back of the guitar is a nice touch. The guitar IS the design, and rather than placing filler or random objects behind the guitar they put a reflection of it. I would have NEVER in a million years thought of that.

Those are the details that get me excited about design - when I see things that I’d never think of.

The lightning bolts are an OK touch, perhaps it’s paying tribute to the “electron” namesake, I don’t know. I’m indifferent about it, but appreciate that they used a different color foil for it. I also noticed their use of “banners” surrounding text. The banner at the very top trails off to lightning bolts, repeating that design element. I think that’s called “motif”. Yeah, I took an art class in middle school.

Dislikes

Like I said in my twitter post, the only thing I don’t like is the guitar cord. It’s not a big deal, but it just seems unnecessary to me. Actually, more important than it being unnecessary is that it leads my eye away from the image, it could have curled around perhaps, looping back on itself, under the MVP banner/logo so that the eye would be drawn somewhere else in the graphic. Again, not a biggie, it just doesn’t add anything.
